Unstable connection, especially in the evenings
Since getting a SKY Q box after upgrading (?) from SKY Plus HD the broadband drops out regularly between the router and the Q box and our Samsung Smart TV. This is not just restricted to the Q box and TV but any 'connected' devices.... We don't have fibre broadband but object to paying 110 pounds a month for SKY, Broadband, and Telephone via a satellite when I can get fibre broadband, SKY and a telephone line for 34 quid... how come I pay so much more than if I went box free?
I have had poor service for over a year now, what gives SKY?

Re: Unstable connection, especially in the evenings
@VG1981 you appear to be confused. The Q boxes receive tv from the satellite for which you will be paying a TV subscription. The broadband service is delivered via your Openreach phone line. A relatively small proportion of your subscribers pays for that service.
If the Q boxes are losing connection to the hub you need to call Sky as they will either send you a booster or send an engineer to sort the issue.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode

Re: Unstable connection, especially in the evenings
Hi Chrisee,
you are partly correct BUT the Q box does access the broadband especially whilst when accessing PRIME, NETFLIX, etc and when checking SKY store.... that is when the broadband issues effect our service!
Also I still cannot workout how streaming SKY services is a quarter of the price of satellite/streaming service I have now?
PLUS, the broadband dropped out around 5 times this morning.... what gives?
