Unrealistic to connect a 10 year old printer to a new Max Hub?

Not as tech savvy as most here ... but since changing from BT to Sky two weeks ago my HP 2542 printer refuses to play ball wirelessly.  Receipt says it was purchased in 2014.

Been through as many options as I can handle, but resigned to replacing what would normally be a very good printer.

If it can't be linked wirelessly, which new printers DO work with this new hub?

It should work but you'll probably need to change the security mode in the My Sky app to WPA2 rather than WPA3. Maybe even temporarily disable 5ghz as well.

That works!  Just had to find the correct option in the menu.

Very well done Sir @jamesn123 👍

Thank you so much - after trying for a good hour to connect incluing hunting for a MAC address option that I later found out the new hub doesn't have, changing the security level worked immediately. I don't need to buy a new printer. However I am not sur of the implications of having a lower security level. ......

WPA2-PSK is still the industry standard and considered to be adequate for domestic and non-sensitive commercial use.

WPA and WEP are absolutely not safe.
