@Leeholla wifi calling is contolled by your mobile provider not Sky but certainly works for most of the major providers including from personal experience for phones on 3 and not totally surprisingly Sky Mobile. Check the settings on the phone.

@Leeholla we have at least one iphone with Three which uses WIFi calling so not sure what the issue could be.

Re: Unable to make or recieve mobile calls with WiFi connected

Hi

I'm having the same problem. Both myself and my wife's iPhones on the 3 network won't make calls when connected to our sky WiFi with a max router.

Just been to my parents who are on sky fibre but with an older router and our phones work fine.
any ideas?

@Leeholla looking online there appears to have been a number of  issues with WiFi calling reported since ios18.2 was released on numerous connections not just Sky. Whether the phone will use wifi calling or the mobile network will depend on the strength of the mobile network so perhaps Apple have altered that slightly?

Cannot think of anything different about the way the phone connects to the WiFi thst could cause an issue.

Re: Unable to make or recieve mobile calls with WiFi connected

I'm keen to find an answer to this as well. WiFi calling on Three not working for any of our iPhones since we joined Sky and  started using the Max router.

Re: Unable to make or recieve mobile calls with WiFi connected

Have been having this exact issue the last couple of weeks. Can make WiFi calls on other networks that aren't sky. Just not able to when connected to my sky network at home.

- iPhone 14 (iOS 18.2)

- network: 3

After doing the usual turning router on and off multiple times. Still no fix.

I've just done the following on. Y iPhone:

settings > WiFi > click on the "I" next to your WiFi network > click on "forget network"

once you've done the above, reconnect to your WiFi network.

so far, it seems to be working, I'll give you an update 24 hours to confirm if it's sorted it.

so far looks like something in The latest update on iOS doesn't get on with sky routers!

I am having the exact same problems. I am on Smarty (3 Network) and am unable to

make calls and inbound calls don't ring and go to voicemail. We moved to max fibre hub at the start of this month!

Re: Unable to make or recieve mobile calls with WiFi connected

I'm having this exact issue running the new Sky Max Hub with my iPhone 15, IOS 18.2.

Have spent hours in dialogue with various Sky advisors and tried a few things such as reducing the WPA security from 3+ to 2 but issue remains.  Sky advisors seem to be taking the line the problem is with my phone but Apple have been through it all, including resetting my network settings.  It really is implausible to be blaming the phone.   It all worked perfectly with the old hub.  I've now turned the Wi-Fi off the whole time on the phone because I've also learned that several people have been unable to reach me in the past few days.

I'm at the point where I'm seriously contemplating sending the Sky Glass (which also has issues - to my mind this is still as yet proven technology) and this new router back under the 30 day cooling off period, reverting to the old router and my old TV.

Re: Unable to make or recieve mobile calls with WiFi connected

Thanks Leeholla.

I've also discovered  there's another thread running on this called 'Sky broadband stopping WiFi calling' in which several people appear to have had the issue fixed by some overnight change to settings initiated by Sky. The fix seems to apply only to people using the Three network (which I do via Smarty) and iOS 18.2.  But to get the fix you have to call up Sky Customer Services individually - there doesn't seem to be a blanket fix being rolled out.  But then, to be fair, I don't suppose Sky knows which network you're on or if your phone software is up to date.  I'll call them tomorrow - I've already spent hours on this today.

So Sky, if you're reading this, you might even contact me for a change.
