Unable to SSH on Sky wifi

I am unable to SSH into remote servers when using Sky WiFi. However, I can connect successfully via any other WiFi network or my mobile hotspot. I am using a Mac M1.

Additionally, I am unable to connect to my VPN through a VPN application specifically on Sky WiFi, whereas it works fine on every other network on the same laptop.

I have already enabled DMZ and disabled the Broadband Shield in the MySky app settings.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this i

ssue?

Are you using a white Max Hub?

There's a fundamental difference in how Sky delivers network service to a Max Hub.

I'd suggest you refer to the pinned post at the top of the Broadband forum.

Re: Unable to SSH on Sky wifi

Thanks, the forum link in the pinned post isn't opening anymore. Apparently, it's used to request a change in service. Any idea if there is an alternative way to fix this instead of contacting the vpn provider's customer care? Because I'm not sure my VPN would even accept my request just for me, because it is working for everyone else using other broadbands.

I'll try escalating your post.  Effectively you are asking for a change in the Sky service because it's almost certainly their default deployment of Map-T which  causes the issue.

Re: Unable to SSH on Sky wifi

Hi @Lisa-P1987

I have had the exact same problem since switching to SKY. The SSH doesn't work anymore, and nothing has changed except the router/isp.

Can you please help?

Thanks 🙂
