Ultrafast Fibre Broadband? More like ultra slow!
Sky Service Checker just took over 20 minutes to retrieve information about products at my proprerty. Clearly, there's connection issues - yet the results showed my Sky Broadband "Looks Good" and speed is 477 Mbps. WiFi also "Looks good". I immediately stood next to my router and test.com confirmed my internet speed was actually 80 Kbps (that's Kb - not Mb)! Why claim my property gets 477 Mbps when it's practically not giving any connection/speed at all?! When I do get a "decent" connection, it's never more than about 120-140 Mbps and its rarely that high - I'd say average is between 50-80 Mbps, so I'm paying for anything other than ultra fast. Also, recently the connection drops frequently to the point where I can't even work due to its unreliability. It's gotten worse over the last couple of weeks with no communication/explanation/reassurances/compensation from Sky. I should note that I live in a relatively built up area so not in the middle of nowhere, where you'd expect less reliable service.

Re: Ultrafast Fibre Broadband? More like ultra slow!
@L4DDER5 something is seriously wrong if your Sky hub is only delivering 80kb/s. Can you run a speed test over an ethernet connection? Full fibre is generally highly reliable and given there is no loss of speed from the exchange to your ONT it is very unusual to have issues with the feed to the hub.
However slow wifi is a common issue when testing in the same room as the hub ensure the hub is not behind or under other kit or furniture and ensure you are at least 2 feet from the hub you should be getting 500Mb/s on an Ultrafast+ connection. Speeds in more distant rooms will inevitably be lower as wifi signal strength drops as the signals pass through solid objects and can be totally blocked by even a piece of metallic foil.
