Ultra fast fibre not available

Hello, I have had a look on BTs Broadband Availability Checker and with the exception of maybe 5/6 properties (there are 34 properties in the close) they can all get FTTP. Unfortunately we are one of the 6 properties who can't get FTTP. Why would this be? It's extremely frustrating to have slow internet coupled with the fact that neighbours only a couple doors down are getting FTTP

will contacting sky to bring an engineer out to investigate help anything?

No, because it isn't Sky which installs optical infrastructure at street level: that's Openreach.
