Trouble signing up to Sky Broadband

I've recently purchased my first home and I'm trying to set up Sky TV and Broadband ready for when I move in soon.

I have received a referral link from a friend that works at Sky, but when I try to set this up with my soon-to-be address it pops up with an error message. However, if I try to sign up with my current address it proceeds me to the page to organise installation. I'm not currently a Sky customer.

It says that I am able to have Ultafast broadband in my area, but when I go to finalise I'm greeted with a "technical error" message and a button to start again.

Any help is greatly appreciated! I feel like I've been going round in circles attempting to resolve this!

@RLloyd21 dont try signing up with your current address as the system will place an order to install broadband there. If your new property is a new build it may not be on Openreach's database as yet. You can check that by entering the full address in this checker DSL Checker. Where the online system wont take an address you often have to call Sky to placectge order

As your referral is from a member of staff it may work differently from the normal type but I think this page refers https://www.sky.com/refer-a-friend which says you can order over the phone but after doing that you need to enter your new account number into the referral link to get the reward.
