Transferring to Sky broadband

I have just signed up to join Sky,broadband and phone, my current supplier was not listed so I check " other".
Will Sky  still contact Plusnet to inform them of my move?

Also, how can I change the activation date?

@Fernbank941Who is your current provider and the activation date that you have been given is the first available date. If you need a later date then that is possible. There is normally a 14 day period so that if you wish to change your midn you can do so.

@Fernbank941Sky will tell Plusnet that you are moving and you should see your Plusnet go down and you then should be connected to Sky up to Midnight on the day of activation.

@Fernbank941

Plusnet is actually part of BT Group, but it's not really something customers should be expected to know, and Sky ought to have them listed by name.
