Tp link Archer vr2800 setup with Sky fibre FTTP

Hi.

Wondering if someone could help me with a setup issue.

I was using a TP Link vr2800 modem router with my Sky broadband SR203, worked fine with no issues. The Sky router had rubbish WiFi in the house (can't move the location) so swapped it out for the TP link.

Just had Sky fibre (FTTP with cityfiber) installed the other day. The guys used the Sky SR203 router for the setup, it works but again the WiFi is rubbish.

The question is how do I set the tp-link vr2800 router without using the sky router? Tried just unplugging the cable in from the sky router (port 4) and putting in the tp link router but it doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

@Apache24uk You more than likely depending on how you did before but setup is different fttc to fttp, VR2800 needs to be setup as an Ethernet Router and not via the DSL interface!
