You are fibre to the cabinet as fibre to the exchange then copper to the house has a maximum speed of 24Mbps
Just don't switch the hub of for 10-14 days whist your line retrains
Also enter your full postal address below and post the table after removing your address from the image. I am intrigued about the 200Mbps option

Hi
Yes, that's what he said, 200mbs.
If copper wire to the house can only be 24mbs, why is there a minimum guarenteed of 50mbs??
I'll look at the link now.

He did say that we are only fibre to the exchange but he showed me there is fibre in the road now so we could get speeds of around 200mbs if we had fibre to the house.
No: you're on FTTC (Fibre To The Cabinet). 'fibre to the house' (FTTH / FTTP) can carry up to gigabit (900/100Mbs).

It's not letting me in to the hub admin. Tries "admin" and "sky" and tried hub password?

You are getting 60Mbps with a wee bit of room for improvement. How are you testing when you run a speed test? wifi or ethernet and make sure that nothing else is downloading in the background

Over wifi. Nothing downloading although my partner is working from home on internet.

@cookiemonsteruk Here's the result from the BT line check. I only really understand the first two rows.

According to openreach max speed is 60Mbps with a guarantee of 30-35Mbps. So assuming you entered the correct address info the line seems to have been downgraded. Also there is no option for any faster speeds certainly not 200Mbps

@Manuka you would need to run a speed over an ethernet device using fast.com or similar with absolutely nothing running .

Ok, I'll dig out an ethernet cable and try that

Thanks.
If that's the case, why do Sky guarantee a minimu of 50Mbs?

ISPs typicall base their 'guaranteed minimum' on the 'handback' figures provided by Openreach/BT Wholesale with a bit of a margin. These aren't necessarily accurate in practice, in which case the ISP typically reduces the minimum figure and offers the customer a chance to leave without penalty.
