Tesla battery gateway won't connect to Sky hub

I have justed moved to a house with a Tesla battery. The Tesla app has identified my Sky broadband network but it will not connect. There is a strong signal over the entire house but it just times out. Every other device I have (except an old HP printer!) connects to the network no problem. Any ideas? Is the hub blocking access? I don't know the MAC address of the battery/app. Tesla support got me to reboot the battery gateway but that has not resolved the issue. Thanks everyone!

Do you have a black or a white Sky Hub?

The most likely issues are:

simultaneous broadcast of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz signal with the same SSID (network name)

and

wireless encryption set at WPA3 by default (Max Hub)

Re: Tesla battery gateway won't connect to Sky hub

Aargh, site keeps blocking my replies! Invalid HTMLs in response and maximum  flood limits??

Anyway, i have a new white hub. I have reduced security to WPA2 and the printer now connects but still not the battery. Just times out.

Read that battery may only connect at 2.4. How do I configure that for just the battery? Thanks

It's not possible to permanently split bands on the Max Hub: a workaround is to temporarily disable the 5GHz band (in the My Sky app), attach the phone to 2.4Ghz, set up the recalcitrant device and then re-enable the 5Ghz band.

Thanks. I've found that setting on the app. Will try that later. Many thanks for your help!

Re: Tesla battery gateway won't connect to Sky hub

Tried turning off 5ghz on SKY app. Tesla app found the wifi but still times out rather than connects. Obviously a Tesla issue rather than Sky but if anyone has any further thoughts on how I can get the battery gateway to connect to my wifi I'd be grateful to hear them! Thanks
