Terrible Speeds on FTTH

I had terrible speeds on my  500Mbps FTTH. It was very erratic and tried different routers, made no difference, spent hour with OR engineer explaining the issue, showing him the packet loss and speeds. He took pictures of the bad speeds but ended the call with fixed - it wasnt.

Anyway I upgraded to the SR213 for the better WIFI speed and things have gone from bad to even badder.

This is my SKY speed test. Am I right this is only from SKY network to the router so internal, devices etc would not impact it unless I was hammering the line? (Which I am not😏)

@Madhatter  Did you ever get the speed you are supposed to get from your new connection connected to the ONT? Have you reported this to Sky before this?

If someone has helped give them Like.

Re: Terrible Speeds on FTTH

Ive had some good speeds (478 / 72.95), but not consistently. OR have been out and never found a fault other than one time where it was "TCC exceeded threshold", rebuilt the line.

Ive got the white router now and its gone down hill since, buffering on YT etc.

SKY have been helpful but is not so impressed with their network team. I have packet loss, as does my brother, who is on SKY as well and on the on the same pole. The PL is constant, network team is not interested.

Am I right in thinking the screen shot above, its from SKY to the HUB and unless I was absolutely hammering the connection, the speed is acurrate?

@Madhatter

The speed shown on the Sky tester is the connection speed from line to hub so is not affected by you using the connection
