Switched from EE today to Sky. Hub installed and we have WIFI. However we have now have no landline. When someone calls our home number they say it rings but it doesn't ring at our property. There is no dial tone on the landline handset. All mobile and broadband equipment works perfectly but we've lost the landline. Can you advise

What broadband connection do you have fttc or fttp ?
Have you plugged your phone into the back of the sky router?

Got no idea what those letters mean sorry. We have a two port master phone socket on the wall. Left hand (small plug) goes to the broadband hub. The right hand (larger plug) currently goes to the base unit of the landline phone. It has a small plug on the end that fits in the base unit. This small plug doesn't fit in the hub so I cannot plug the phone wire straight into the back of the hub from the wall. If I did how would the hub communicate with my base unit without a cable?

What hub did you receive from sky ? The one that lies flat or the upright model. As of september sky has issued a broadband hub with a bt phone socket in preparation for the rescheduled pstn telephone switch off in january 2027

As pointed out the older type of phone service where the phone plugged into the phone socket in the wall is being gradually switched off most new connections Sky offer provide the voice service via the hub and tge phone points around your home will no longer work.
