Switched from BT to SKY and VPN won't connect
I'm hoping someone can help me as I've not been able to connect to VPN since I joined SKY in June 2024. My Remote Desktop connection doesn't work without the VPN connection first (I am not Techie in any way!)
So far I have:
- Turned off the Broadband Shield,
- Set the WIFI Security Level to WPA2, WPA3, and back again multiple times
- Turned off the SKY Q Box,
- Talked to the IT department at work who spent hours looking for the problem and say it's the Router blocking the VPN
- Called SKY multiple times - keep getting told I can have a new router but it's not been "approved" ?? They promise to call me back but never do.
- Been told by SKY to plug my old BT router back in!! (would if it still worked but it doesn't)
- Changed DNS Settings (Auto / Google 8888 / Auto etc)
- Checked Hyper-V is off
- Re-started my laptop a million times
I am at my wits end, I cannot work without it - PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP 🙏
