Switch from BT fibre to Sky....charged twice!

I ordered Sky fibre on 22 Feb to be activated on 23 March as my contract with BT was finished at that time.Today I received a bill from BT and bottom line they have not been notified of switch and I have cancelled this morning. This means I am being charged by both providers for 6 weeks.

I contacted Sky and have been told it was my contrsctual responsibility to notify BT and they are not at fault. BT says it was Sky's as I also thought too.

I have a manager calling later but can anyone advise please?

When you took out the service with Sky, as long as you made it clear you wanted to switch, rather than have a new service then its Sky's responsibility to notify BT.

What exactly have you cancelled? If it's your BT broadband then you've just put a stop to the line which will take much longer to get back service. How did you order Sky broadband?
