Super fast upgrade to Full Fibre does it require a new router?

Hello I am considering upgrading to Full Fibre 150 from superfast and was enquiring what is involved?

Do I require a new router, which comes with all the complications or is it just a cable connection to existing router?

I would note its still a disruptive change because you have to get an engineer in to run a completely new cable into your home and mount a box on the wall. Replacing the router is a very minor change in all that.

@Bob+Andeson Sky normally do not change the hub for existing customers with your hub switching to full fibre . Instead you getcsimething grandly called a cinversion kit which is in fact just a short ethernet cable.

Re: Super fast upgrade to Full Fibre does it require a new router?

I am confused and wondered if someone could help. I called sky to change TV package and as part of changes they told me they would give free upgrade from Ultra broadband to Fibre 150. On checking it seems there is very little difference. (Hardly an upgrade) I had new hub 18 months ago when I had Sky Q installed. They told me yesterday a new hub would be sent which I thought I misheard but now today have a confirmed delivery. Can anyone confirm if I really need a new hub when I already thought I have the latest/new one (and fibre installed) 18 months ago?
