Super fast broadband full fibre install
I have just signed up for Sky Glass and explained that my landlord only accepts Standard broadband internally. No external boxes to be added to the building.
I have now had confirmation that Openreach will be fitting a small box to the external of my walls to connect full fibre. How can I stop this from happening?

Re: Super fast broadband full fibre install
Note that Glass is the television hardware and streaming content service: what you are referring to is Sky Broadband over FTTP ordered at the same time as Glass.
Unfortunately once an order is placed, Openreach have been known to just turn up and carry out the external work without any notice, so you'll need to persist with placing a cancellation through Sky.
However, in a fibre priority area ISPs cannot now obtain new wholesale bandwidth on 'standard' (FTTC) broadband products which use existing copper, so the external box (CSP) and drilling from outside to inside for the optical cable is inevitable to obtain new service, when switching ISP, or if upgrading speed.
Your landlord should be advised that blocking a broadband installation seriously devalues the property, while having FTTP increases its worth quite considerably.
