Sudden drop in ADSL Speed but no error on line?

Hi.

Over the last 7 days we've suddenly had the speed of our VSDL from circa 40Mb/s to what is now 17Mb/s , with Sky's checker showing "no problems on the line" and arguing it might be extreme weather related.. when we're in "normal weather conditions".

We've had similar drops in the past 3 years where there has been an error identified, with a fault identified in the nearby cabinet where someone else appears to have gone in and "knocked" a joint.

I can't find anyway of escalating this to Sky to get them to get an engineer to visit and check; instead Sky's app is just telling me to leave - which won't solve the problem as we've got no other viable providers here.

What's the best way to escalate this?

Ta!

I would check: bidb.uk to see if you can get an Altnet  in your area

Best contacting Sky themselves

Apparently if you just stay silent it'll put you through to a human, but don't quote me on that
