Despite several resets and multiple attempts to get an answer i still have awful internet since switching to SKY MAX. Weak signal, barely covers next room over (Old router was really well covered). Phones dont work on the internet, Q box drops signal, Netflix wont even load. Paying more for worse service.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Gdrsnook one issue thst customers with Sky Q boxes have to cope with is the loss of coverage from the Q box's wifi hotspot which often requires them to need the pod extenders thst come as part of the Wifi Max bundle. The first extender is sent out after a phone call and up to another 2 can be supplied after an engineer has come out to survey the network.
The Wifi Max hub is even fussier about positioning as it uses higher frequency signals this can be an issue if your home has solid walls. In my own home myself and the Sky engineer decided to call it quits as a retaining wall meant using the extenders thst connect by a third band signal were getting insufficent signal to operate my lower trch Deco M4 system seems more reliable

Thanks Chrisee. Sounds like i am not alone here. I do indeed have solid walls. so this may explain the issue. As frustrating is the lack of response from Sky. Seems like they are happy to take the extra money but dont want to respond to your issues. No offer of any pod extenders etc to date.
