Still being charged after moving to Virgin Media

I ended my contract with Sky on 10/10/2024 and switched to Virgin Media on the same day. I returned the Sky hub etc but have still been billed by Sky for the period from 10/10/2024 to 19/01/2025.

I was previously told that I would be reimbursed the charges for this period but this has not happened.

@Dhaughton  Did you actually give sky notice to cancel and did sky send email confirmation accepting cancellation n as virgin media cannot cancel on your behalf because they are not members of the switch scheme

@Dhaughton

Did you use the one switch scheme or did you cancel with Sky by giving then your 14 days notice ?

@SKY1992bf

Virgin are part of the switching scheme.

@caesarome  has that recently changed as they hadn't used to be?

they don't use the openreach network which the scheme covers

@SKY1992bf

As of September 2024 Virgin and the other altnets are part of the expanded one-touch-switch system.

This was actually delayed from 2023 when it was supposed to happen.
