Split wifi to 2.4g and 5g but only my tv and ps5 cant find the 5g

Hi all

I split my Wi-Fi to improve the connection for my smart home devices and doorbell, and that worked well.

However, my Samsung TV and PS5 can’t detect the 5GHz network—they can only connect to the 2.4GHz one. I tried rebooting the router, and while the TV did connect to the 5GHz network, but the connection quickly disappeared. The TV is brand new, supports 5GHz, and can detect my neighbour's Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, my laptop and phones connect to the 5GHz network without any issues.

Additionally, I can no longer edit the Wi-Fi settings in the gateway.

Tv and the sky max hub are in the same room so no physical obstacle here. Really appreciate if anyone can give me some insight.

Many thanks

@Googoo423 you cannot split the 2 bands on the Sky Max hub whst you appear to have done is disabled the 5GHz band which is the recommended way to connect IOT devices that will not connect to the standard dualband SSID however the next part of that advice is to turn the 5GHz band back on oncecthe devices are connected. The controls for that are not in the web interface but rather they are in the My Sky app in thecadvanced part of the settings for the WiFi Max hub.

It is common thst you cannot split the bands on WiFi6 devices as it requires both bands to achieve the increased speeds. Most IOT devices remain connected when the 5GHz band is turned back on.
