Sonic wall VPN won't connect to Sky max hub

Hi - I sometimes work remotely and am required to use SonicWall VPN, however this all of a sudden stopped working a few months ago.

 

For clarification, I have the WiFi Max Hub and my broadband connection is fine and stable. 

 

My IT department have tried to help but it looks like Sky is blocking the connection from there end. We have plugged straight into the router, changed to private network, changed the Sky shield to over 18 but nothing has helped. 

 

Please can someone assist?

In that case please fill out this form and Sky should get back to you.

In the meantime either you or your IT team can follow the below instructions to try and get the VPN connection working;

 

Open up a cmd window and type;

netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface 'Name of the interface" mtu=1472 store=persistent 

 

(Note the name of the interface will usually be 'WiFi' or 'Ethernet' but if you dont know the name of the interface exactly you can type this command to see a list); netsh interface ipv4 show subinterfaces

 

If this doesnt work, change the MTU value in the command to 1452 and try again

Quite likely to be MAP-T causing the issue. In your routers settings on the My Sky app try enabling UPnP as this moves your MAP-T mapping back to 1:1

I would recommend you fill out the form yes because it will help Sky implement a permanent fix for your hub as well as evaluate the impact this issue has had across their customer base.
