Some devices can't connect to wifi

Since the start of last week, both my girlfriend and I are unable to connect our work laptops to the wifi. We've been using it fine for the last 9 months. If I select the network on my laptop it says 'No internet, secured', though to be fair it always says that, and I get an error when trying to connect to my VPN. I've been using my phone to hotspot for the last week.

My Sonos speaker also struggles to connect to the wifi. I have to disconnect it and go through the process of setting it up again, but it only works for 10 minutes or so before it disconnects.

Our TV runs off Sky Stream and works fine, as do all the apps installed on it, and our phones are both connected to the wifi. Our Alexa is still working, but the Ring doorbell chime doesn't work, though the cameras do.

Re: Some devices can't connect to wifi

I'm having a similar issue.  All the devices have been happily connnected for ages (years in some cases) now not working.  While some random ones are working fine.  A few occiasionally connect, but then disconnect.  Wonder if it's a bad update?  I tried a reset on the router and changing the password (both I'd seen as fixes) but nothing.

Re: Some devices can't connect to wifi

I said 9 months, but that's just when I moved house. I'm still using the same router as I had in the old house, so I'm actually in the same boat as you where the devices that are no longer connecting have actually been connected to the wifi with no issues for a few years

Just spoke to someone at sky.  Did most of the things I'd tried.  Still no dice.  Engineer coming Thursday

Re: Some devices can't connect to wifi

We've been able to connect our work laptops to the WiFi via the extender we have in the kitchen, however we've never had to do that before. It's only there for the camera on the outside wall.
