Slower than promised broadband speed and range issues with WiFi

Just moved house and have excellent broadband lines in the village. Ordered sky glass and very impressed so far, except the WiFi range isn't good enough to reach the other tv. We do have a range extender plugged in.
the walls are all solid where we live but there are some windows in between the rooms, not all the rooms.
We pay for 300mbps yet the speed checker says we are down to 30!

 Any advice would be appreciated.
thanks.

300Mbs to the Hub and 30Mbs to wireless devices are both entirely plausible and above the relevant minimum speed guarantees.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.
