Slow connection from Sky hub to tv

When slecting a channel the screen goes grey for a minute or so before the picture comes through. The sound is there but this is a poor performance. Also the 'live' screening is at least 15 to 20 seconds behind true live play as evident when I get a score update before it on screen. This is extremely frustrating and not as advertised as being live. Can this be improved or will I need to switch to another provider?

@Joseph64 neither issue is related to your Sky Broadband so not sure why you posted here.

If channels take a full minute to load that is very odd as my own Sky Stream pucks take a few seconds but loadingva stream wil not be instant as loadinggaxsatellite channel is not.

The delay in streamed channels is a well known issue caused by the increased processing required. Sky have launched low latency versions of their Sky Sports Main Event channel that reduces the delay by 18 seconds at the cost of using slightly more data and having less stability. If you have Stream this version can be found on ch921 and 922 or you can switch to the live sync version on 401.
