Slow broadband speed following Sky Full Fibre Gigafast upgrade

Hello,

 

We upgraded from Sky Broadband Ultrafast Plus to Full Fibre Gigafast in October and both the wifi and ethernet connections are much slower than advertised. The My Sky app reports no faults with the service and a speed of around 679 Mb/s; however, when I have ran speed tests on various other websites, the download speed come back at around 156 Mb/s over ethernet and around 122 Mb/s over wifi. I have tried resetting the router, a Sky SR203, but the speeds remain the same.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi @Simon+S507 

It does sound like there is an issue. Your speed on the My Sky app should show a lot higher for starters. I have escalated your post to Sky, look out for a message on the forum

Just wondering if anyone might be able to update me on our slow broadband speed? We have yet to hear back from Sky regarding the issue.

@Duggy77 slow speeds have many potential causes from issues with your line through router issues but the most common is poor wifi speeds in your home.
