Slow BB on WIndows devices, normal on Apple devices
I run a PC linking to the router via Netgear mains plug in, a laptop linked either wirelessly or directly to router, and an iPhone and an iPad both wirelessly. All devices were running well, and I had no cause to check speeds so I assume they were behaving as expected. Over the last 2 weeks I have noticed problems on the PC and laptop and started checking speeds on all devices and found that the PC and laptop were both showing 20-40 Mb/s readings while the iPhone and iPad were both showing 140-150Mb/s readings.
Whenever I have checked the PC speed in the past few years since we connected via fibre it has always been in the 140-150 Mb/s range
The laptop is slow both when connected to the router and wirelessly
Over the past 48 hours I have also noticed vastly increased buffering while trying to watch streamed content on TV

Re: Slow BB on WIndows devices, normal on Apple devices
@Anonymous powerline networking adapters like your Netgear plug quite commonly lose speed so a quick unplug/replug woyld seem a sensible step to see if thst sorsts the problem. If any devices are connecting at normal speeds that rules out the hub or its connection. The hub has no method of sterring bandwidth to one device in favour of another but wifi speeds can vary even in the same room. I use a useful app called WiFi Sweetspots which shows tge speed of the connection between the hub and the device in realtime enabling you to find tge best place for a laptop

DOH!!!
I can't believe I'm a victim of the turn-it-off, turn-it-on syndrome!!!
Thank you. Why didn't I think of that?
