SkyMax Ultrafast 500mbs speeds

Bought Openreach SkyMax Ultrafast Plus 500Mb/s. Unfortunately, the Openreach socket is in the small storeroom near the entrance, so the only place I can install the router is the closet. The speeds are great when I stand near the router, but they fall to 0 or 1-9Mb/s when I go to other rooms or upstairs. I guess the router is too weak to get through the walls.

In the advice from Sky Broadband Help, I see I need to get additional boosters. How do I get them? Where?

I have  Asus router .. can i make mesh with it?

Any advice on how to deal with the router in a small storeroom?)

@MichaelEnniskil wifi boosters need a fast connection to the hub to be of any use. Ideally run a ethernet cable from the ONT to the hub positioned out in the open. Failing that something like a powerline networking kit which uses your home's mains wiring is a second best. Why builders consider putting Wifi routers in cupboards is a good idea is a mystery.
