Sky will not let me use Cloud Private Relay on IPhone??

Hi

I usually have my ICloud Relay on when using the internet. However Sky has stated it will not connect my network if I am using this.

Is there any reason as to why this is??

Can you turn something off on broadband shield so this can be allowed??

Its down to Sky's DNS servers and the filtering they have on for Shield and parental controls. If you disable them it should work

@Harves I use Private Relay option on my personal iCloud account on my Sky connection without issue so I am surprised by your post. Can you explain what exactly Sky said and how the question arose?

Sky said they are not sure why. 
It was fine for the first few days & then I have a message pop up telling me Sky internet can't work when ICloud Relay is on. Do I want to continue without using it or use another network.

So I always have to say use without ICloud  relay, otherwise I can't use WiFi.

Do you have an idea why??

@Harves as I posted my own Apple devices use iCloud private relay without issue. It isn't an issue I have seen reported and Sky's response indicates it isn't a known issue on their system. I have one possible suggestion check the settings for Sky's Broadband Shield as the lower age tiers will blick VPN traffic  see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-broadband-shield-start which ICloud relay is sort of using.

OP did you every get a resolve?

I am now having the same issue. I am unable to load Safari and get the pop up message saying WiFi unable to connect whilst using iCloud private relay and that I should use the WiFi without private relay or connect to another network. 
When I use WiFi without private relay, certain things do not load. 

it's becoming very annoying having the switch between WiFi and 5G whilst in the house. 

can anyone please help?

@Tashiebabes check the setting for Broadband Shield in the My Sky app as that will block certain websites if set too low and also block VPNs which I suspect is what private relay looks to be. Age 18 works for me.

I see the broadband shield has the option to allow certain website without turning it off, do you know what I would need to put in to allow the icolud realy to work? Is this even possible?

@Burtonjoycered the options for configuring Sky Broadband Shield are explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-broadband-shield-start. VPNs can be blocked and like any other system of this tyoe it can cause unitended issues. Simply turn the shield off if it works then you have your answer.
