Sky stopping IPTv even through a router and VPN

I have been using a Surshark account to view an IPTV service using Sky Fibre but recently it has been unable to connect wheh the VPN is on to the service. If i turn the VPN off the service becomes availiable but i want to run the Service through a Vpn.

 

Has anyone any ideas? I have seen that you can change the DNS on the router  which could maybe solve the problem but I cannot see on the sky app how to change this.I have turned on the Skyshield but the problem is still happening.

ISPs don't know what's being accessed through a VPN: that's kind of the point.

 

Is it possible that it's the destination server which is rejecting a VPN connection?
