Sky shield blocking emails

I want to have sky shield on and set the 13 however when it's active ot blocks emails from gmail. I don't want to turn of sky shield as I have an 11 year old using the internet.

@Bobo+the+Clown you should be able to add the website you want to allow by using the manage exceptions function by adding the mail.google.com address as an allowed address.

I've also added smtp.gmail.com as an exception to see if it helps with checking emails using iPhone Mail app

@Bobo+the+Clown sorry thought you were talking about web mail. Broadbandshield should not block a mail app like Apple's one. Suspect something else is happening.

It is odd that all the family has the same issue with emails on their iPhones when sky shield is on. When it is off we have no issues with email. We are all on iOS 16.3

I would appreciate if anyone else test if they have issues downloading emails and are also on iOS 16.3 and have sky shield on at 13 option. Thanks in advance
