We just got a call from a guy in India who said he works for Sky in London - he informed us that our IP address has been hacked. He asked how many devices we have and then said he needed to run through a few things. He then asked my husband to go on Play Store to type in Get Support...it didnt sound right so we put the phone down. The phone has now run 5 times, but each time no messageis left. Does this sound right to you?

99% a scam. Sky will not ring anyone up like that and most certainly will not ask you to download software

That's technically nonsense, and always the hallmark of a scam, particularly when coupled with the instruction to download anything (which will be remote access software to give the bad guys control of your device and, they hope, access to your online banking). As @cookiemonsteruk says, ISPs don't proactively call their customers like that even when they do have concerns, because it's just not profitable.
