Sky mobile uses data rather than wifi within house.

Within the house we have a nunber of devices attached wirelessly. My phone says it's connected but it still shows 4g.

@biggustimmus Assuming you have Apple devices, they commonly have "Wi-Fi assist" enabled in settings. If the device determines the wifi connection to be poor, it will drop back to using a cellular connection.

Sometimes it can be worth forcing the device to stick with WiFi.

On an Apple device it is under: Settings > Mobile Data > WiFi assist (scroll down).

Thanks I think it may be the WiFi strength - have adjusted phone settings as you suggest. I was on a thing called WiFi boost, just replaced with WiFi max to see if that makes a difference.
