Sky max hub not allowing me to change settings of wifi
So I have the max hub, and when logged in on a browser I can see the settings as shown below
these are greyed out and it says use the mysky app to edit these, which when you log in and select the max hub you can't edit them at all, only the wifi password and name of the router
Is there any way to force it to allow me to change these? I'm just trying to optimise it a bit for wireless VR, my last router from BT worked flawlessly out of the box and it didn't even have wifi 6E 😅
will be a bit miffed if I have to spend £80+ on a 3rd party router just to have the option to change my own settings

That suggests your app hasn't yet populated with the necessary Hub administration tabs: delay in this happening is a known issue for some users.

There's no way for a user to add extra functionality to the browser interface.

Well that sucks, I've never seen any other ISP who locks the functionality of software of physical hardware you have in your home behind something like that...
Welp, 3rd party router next week I guess 🤷♂️

In-app administration is becoming a thing because it's increasingly difficult to convince a browser to talk to a device with a self-signed SSL certificate. The new EE Hub (which will replace all BT Hubs over time) also uses app access.

I mean it's all good when it works, but I've been with sky 2 months at this point so I either sit around staring at it until it works or I buy another one that I can actually use 😭
I'm away for the next week so it's not the end of the world, just annoying spending 2-3 hours troubleshooting but you can't edit settings of the router to test that
