Sky engineer unable to set up wifi

I had my wifi booked in to be fitted and activated yesterday and the sky engineer turned up. He said that he couldn't do it because we don't have a wire going to our house? However, we had openreach visit a week before and say everything is good for it to be installed normally. We were waiting a month for the engineer appointment and now still don't have any wifi. I am aware that openreach is a different company but how long is it going to take to actually get wifi now, I am spending a ridiculous amount of money on data and there has been no communication of the next steps.

@Kate0601  Did Openreach fit a grey box on the outside of the property when they attended?

I’m not sure, I haven’t seen one but it was my housemate who was in when they visited and that’s all she has said

The sky engineer installed one of these yesterday and then said openreach would have to connect it. But I havnt heard anything since then

@Kate0601  Looking at that information you will need to contact Sky and find out why the install was not completed. It looks like it is something to do with the need to do pole work to connect you from the outside even though Openreach said you are good to go.
