Sky employee waiting for bt to sort fibre
My son is a sky employee. We moved into our property on 25/10/24. After contacting sky many times to arrange for bt to come out to set up a box/line, we have still not got anywhere. We have no tv/broadband and only a few GB left on mobile. When we call sky it does not allow my son to speak to someone, he has to go through to a robot and he is getting nowhere. Very unhelpful and frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas what to do? Should I just sign up for sky and then transfer it into my son's name?

Re: Sky employee waiting for bt to sort fibre
@Julie175 Sky staff have separate numbers to use to get support, he needs to check on his works intranet, Sky staff cannot use tge normalcustomer service route. You cannot transfer Sky accounts normally sonthst is a non-starter if you want hus discount.
If you are getting a new line installed which sounds likely as Openreach and Sky will want to fit a full fibre line if the property is in a road with that service, there can be delays where the job turns out not to be straightforward. If you enter the full postal address of the property into the following checker and postvtgectable and first 3 lines of the notes after obscuring the reference to your address forum members should be able to tell you what is going on see Openreach Checker
