I've been with sky broadband for years. Have there sky broadband superfast. Due to area I live in most I can get is 40mbps instead of 60. I do alot of online gaming and my wife works from home. Were constantly struggling with slow speeds. My latest xbox is hard wired and seems so slow and sluggish. Have a gaming monitor and reset everything and adjusted the fps. We went away for a week and when we came back everything ran quick for a few days then started to slow down. It points to me that sky must be throttling our Internet. What can I do about this please.

ISPs do not 'throttle' internet: that's not exactly in their interest. However, particularly for FTTC, copper lines can and do develop faults (just as they did in the days when they only carried voice traffic) which causes Openreach 'Dynamic Line Management' (DLM) to automatically drop speed in an effort to improve connection stability. The Hub stats which @Highlinder pointed to may indicate if this is the case.

Here is my router stats. My xbox is hard wired and a test on that is showing 36 download 13 upload. But my gameplay is terrible. Running a gaming monitor. When we had a holiday the gameplay was good for the first few says then slowed right down again. Anything you can see that would be causing it please. Thank you

When the broadband test completes could you please click on " Tell me more about my connection " and take a screen shot of the speed you are supposed to get between and your minimum.

Are you hardwiring it to a booster or something?

@jamesn123 yep hardwired mate. Xbox was turned off at the time. Is it worth me redoing the test when on? When I do the test I get 36 to xbox and a ping of 22 to 26ms. But my gameplay is shocking

Both the speed & ping values you quote are plenty good enough for online gaming.
What exactly is shocking about the gameplay? Often for me its lack of Skill 🤣

@jamesn123 will test it later. When playing games. If its single player, story mode or against cpu its quick and controller reactive. But the moment I play online it slows down. Everything lags. Even tried hardwire controller

Speed on mine keeps dropping to 37-40mbps from 80 after 24 hours everytime I reset it
