Sky broadband suddenly stopped working and no engineer visit

I have had no wifi since last Wednesday booked an engineer to come out they only went to the box outside then sais needed an appointment for an engineer to visit my home so booked that meant to be for today 26th Aug. So I wait in and got to certain time nobody here no text or call or update called them back to be told no one is coming it hasn't been assigned now due to bank holiday we couldn't get appointment till today fair enough but for noone to turn up when I've stayed home all day is frustrating when im told someone will be out today just to be back where I started for openreach to come to the box when I need an engineer to fix it from the property!  All I get on the hub is red light done all whats been asked unplugged it and resetting via the was button still nothing 5 days no wifi now been made to wait even longer

@Manning1 Would be better that you call sky and have them do it all again from the start, book the Engineer get the date sorted and go from that point on!

I have but im back to where I've started they done seem to want to send a engineer to my home to see if the problem is with the hub or main line it plugs into

@Manning1 That is what it takes, the Engineer has to be sure the line to the home is good after they checked it was good at the cabinet!

They already done that and said an engineer would need to visit my home and never bothered now I have to start again  this is the 2nd time of doing this, im not paying for a service I aint getting, I cant be the only person that having an issue with an actual engineer coming to my phone they won't even confirm a date or time just says to be confirmed even though an appointment was supposed to be booked for today thats the problem and even sky said they are having trouble with getting actual appointments because it keeps saying there's a problem with the exchange box yet engineer already said problem with the home I've got absolutely nothing so its either the first person didn't bother doing anything in the first place or im getting the run around

@Manning1 OR the infrastructure Engineers decide what needs to be done, NOT sky, so they advise you what may or may not happen, the engineers can see if your hub is online from there test! If they do not need to go to the home then they will not, but if needed then they will.

 

Can only pass onto you as a customer like yourself what can or does happen! Plus sometimes the first fix does not work out and yes it leaves you stuck and angry but it happens that is why a call back to sky is required and informing them oops it just did not workout and there is still a problem!

I get what your say ive been with sky for a very long time and never had issues like this they know there isn't getting any connection im not connected to the network for some weird reason I've called several times and getting no where they create a job and all it says is engineer investigation coming soon and time and date to be confirmed...... Like I said in my previous post is the issue is actually an engineer visiting not getting an appointment and having someone visit is the actual problem they keep saying the problem is outside yet they visit say the problem isn't outside and to book engineer they do that and noone is assigned to the job how many times have I got to hear that! I know they have to follow procedure but how many times do they have to start again before they pull there finger out im paying for a service im not even getting they see on screen an engineer needs to come to my home yet they won't send anyone so what am I suppose to do, only other thing is to put in a complaint
