Sky broadband stopping WiFi calling

@LauraP4 and interestingly I have not had the problem return since I reverted to my old black router.  It must be a Sky router issue imo.

If you have the option, revert to the previous generation Black Router - it's the only way I managed to fix the issue!

Only got the latest model as recently changed to Sky. Surely someone at Sky is working on a fix??🤔

It's hasn't been fixed there was an update a couple of weeks ago from a sky employee saying they were aware and working on it, no update since then

Hi all,

I am in the process of moving to Sky FTTP (activation Wednesday).

WiFi calling is important for me as I have poor mobile reception at home.

Please can a Sky staff member give an update because if this isn't sorted I'm tempted to cancel during cooling off period.

WiFi calling works for me.  Skimming the thread it seems to only affect some handsets/carriers (e.g. iPhone on 3).  I'm Android on EE (soon moving to Sky Mobile/O2, probably).

WIFI calling works for me on Android EE but during the call it will drop where people can hear me but I can't hear them and then it ends the call.  Is this the same problem?

No. Mine is iPhone and it simply doesn't make WiFi calls. Doesn't even connect.

I'm on ID mobile, who piggyback on '3', and can't get vo-wifi calling. If I reboot the router it shows as working, then it stops and disappears. Any update on this SKY? As it is most frustrating and I may need to move on to another provider!

@johnthecyclist Although on Sky Mobile and Sky Broadband, just switched to airplane mode, and did a wi-fi call through sky broadband no connection issue's and call was done with no problem.

Unfortunately it's a known problem with '3' Sims. They said they were working on a solution, but that was months ago, with no update! Thanks for trying! 👍

I switched from BT to Sky 6 months ago. WiFi calling worked perfectly with BT. With Sky every call drops after a minute or so. Android / Smarty Sim
