Yes true, might be that I had the issue before and it came back so they could of had some notes on my account.

Forty minutes and passed through five agents to finally get this escalated and reported and told could still take up to 72 hours.

Does anyone know if, with iOS 18.3, this issue is fixed at all?

Afraid not was hopeful it would fix it but no change

I have just had an interesting chat with someone in the Sky technical support team (in India I think). He hadn't heard of the MAP-T fix but asked if I still had my old black router (I upgraded to Sky Max recently and they never sent me a return pack for the old router). Thank goodness I kept it as I have swapped back and hey presto - WiFi calling now works perfectly. He intimated to me that the new white routers may not be fit for purpose. I will monitor my BB speed to make sure that I am getting what I am paying for and if not will be taking Sky to task. What an own goal when their updated router is worse that the one it replaces. The range and coverage is better with the old router as well!

H YorkyPablo,
Following your message, I've just replaced my new white router with the old black router it replaced (they never sent me a return pack for the old router also) and the problem is solved!! Thank you - it's been a nightmare.

How do I escalate this issue to sky? I have 3 x people on my house on Smarty mobile (3 network) that can't use wifi calling. The mobile signal is poor here and everyone is getting frustrated after I convinced my family that moving feom Virgin Media to Sky was a good thing.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@YorkyPablo a little bit of background the white Sky Max hubs are not new they have been in use with Comcast in the US for sometime apparently without issue especially with WiFi calling.
However what has changed is Sky in the UK switching users onto MAP-T as a means to share IP4 addresses which the Sky Max hub supports. This has had knock on issues with company VPNs for which there is a process to switch them off the new standard. It would be interesting if customers having issues with wifi calling who have the white Sky hubs used the same route described in the pinned post at the head of the forum and found that resolved the issue.😉

@Chrisee Thanks for the info. I did mention the MAP-T fix but my Sky contact knew nothing about it nor had any idea how I might have gone about getting mine reset. it is interesting though that my old Sky router gives me better coverage even out to an outbuilding which wasn't achievable with the white router. i'll stick with the old one I think for the time being.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@YorkyPablo the forum was where the issue with MAP-T and VPNs first got identified and the system in the pinned post was put in place. There are indications that the wifi calling issue is related but officially it is still under investigation hence why no official word or info for tge call centre agents. However given there is a process which may help it is worth trying if you catch my drift.

@Chrisee Thanks again. I am probably being a bit dense - I can't locate the pinned post. Is it the one right at the start pf this thread re setting security to WPA2? If sonI've done that to no effect.

@Chrisee Many thanks. Having reverted to my old router and gone through all the hassle of resetting the myriad devices connected I think I'll stay with it for now especially as the signal seems better as well. Thank you for your rapid and comprehensive assistance with this. I am sure other readers will have benefitted as well. Cheers.

I managed to resolve this by completing the form to change the MTU settings as detailed in the pinned post. Was done within an hour of completing the form.
