Sky broadband speed much lower than speed promised under contract

When we signed up to the Sky Broadband Fiber package, we were promised download speeds in excess of 100 mbps. This has never been achieved and our average download speed is around 30 mbps. The broadband is completely unreliable for working from home via Microsoft Teams, which continually crashes. Sky are in breach of contract and I would like the issue resolved immediately please.

@Sully6 you sre not talking to Sky by pidting in the forum. The speed guarantee applies to the speed to the hub not to your device. If you test speeds over WiFi as most people do you often just measure the wifi speed in your homecwhich isnt guarateed as it is not something Sky can control. WiFi spedds depend on the lay out of your home, how it is built and to some degree how much interference there is. Many homes need more than the free hub Sky give you to get fast wifi in every room.

 

You can either test speeds over ethernet which should show the true speed or run the Connection Checker  in the My Sky app which if you click on the Broadband Link will show the speeds for the last 2 weeks or so and if speeds are below the guarantee can offer help ,in steps to take.
