Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
Sounds relevant, yes. Admin probably messing with the servers to fix the issue and it was down. I'd expect it will try again and succeed soon.

@hgwv Normally just leave a space after the http :// like so and tell the user to take out or remove the s from it!

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
@JimM1 Thanks, I'll bear that in mind. I don't even have an edit option for my posts. 😔
Edit: apparently now I do, because I'm "Level 3".

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
@BroodingSnow might be a residual reboot from a pending update, see if it happens again tonight.

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
That was kinda my thoughts too, since the last night time drop was earlier than the previous 4. I couldnt see anything in the router logs that happened around the time it went down, but then i dont really know what im looking for either.

Mine didnt do anything last night , but is still on the previous version of the firmware.
It works so I'm not too fussed, but interested to know why it wont take the new version , when others do. ?

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
@GuyTrem Sky may have suspended the FW rollout currently or your device was not one off the selected area's. they cannot blanket mass all the devices on one hit, think with nearly 7M customers impossible to do! Also would be a major if they oops them all at the one time!

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
I also did not get an update last night, router has been running for 32hrs, but it has skipped a night before so ill keep my fingers crossed till this next one passes. Im a tad confused about my firmware version as i couldve sworn it was 4. something and is now 7. something, so its possible the earlier disconnect the other day after my factory reset went through. i read online there was no more updates for the old hub.

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
Another night ....... ANOTHER RESET !!!!
Sorry Sky, simply not good enough !!!
I can't spend 30 minutes each and every morning going and resetting my CCTV, Alarm, Sky Glass, Laptop, Electic meter !!
Time for a change in Broadband and TV I Think, this is just another item to add to the list of problems with Sky over the past few months, not what you would expect when you are collectively spending well in excess of £120 per month.
if someone from Sky customer retention team wishes to speak to me to try and resolve my issues and promise a reliable service all round, not just with broadband, but their TV and Mobile service them feel free, but I doubt it, as we are just another figure on the yearly profits tally!!

Re: Sky broadband router reboots overnight
@jasonwilliams3 The Forum has no way off knowing what you actually have, had a quick look through all your posting's and there is no indication, have you called sky to wrangle it out with them!
