Sky broadband outage

Anyone experiencing an outage in West London?

It's been more than a day and I cannot seem to get a hold of them...

Hopeful that one of you may have an update to when the issue will be resolved...

@Maxino11

You'll need to call Sky to see if Openreach have updated them regarding a repair. This might be delayed after this weekend's extreme weather.

In case you aren’t already aware, the following link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day).

Re: Sky broadband outage

Following up to see if anyone is experiencing the same.

I'm on Day 4 of no Internet now since my broadband has gone down because of an outage. I've called Sky yesterday and they are aware of the situation but don't know when it's going to be fixed.

Has anyone received an update?

Openreach are not the best at updating their ISPs concerning outages. Sky can only tell you what (if anything) Openreach have told them.

Outage after outage

There was an outage in my area since Sunday morning. This was fixed this morning (I even saw two Openreach vans parked in my street late last night) and all was going well for an hour or two - I had the perfect Wi-Fi connection. Then, Wi-Fi drops again at 11am this morning and I go to the service checker for my broadband and learn yet again that there's ANOTHER outage in my area (with an updated start date of today, vs. Dec 8 previously)....

Why is this? The Openreach engineers have left and an hour later, another outage hits the area....

I'm at loss of words.

Unfortunately for you the two days before automatic compensation applies will restart again once you report it to Sky.

Re: Sky broadband outage

Do you know there is a succession of outages?

The Openreach engineers have just left, fixed the outage, and an hour later, another outage hits the area....

Not until you posted that information. We are mainly customers on here trying to help other customers and you aren’t directly contacting Sky Customer Services.
