What colour is the internet light on your sky hub?

Whereabouts are you?

Only 2 lights are on. I did go into my Sky account and do a check, it's saying there's an outage problem in my area, this could take a few days or sooner to fix.

@Koldito

There was another London issue first thing but only 2 posts so very minor in the breath scheme of things.

Try running the service checker in your my sky app using mobile data. Hopefully it will let you book an engineer or give you an update

Right, 29th Aug at 5.30am and still the internet is not operational in Brockley. Obviously the TV is not working either as is the sky internet based and neither I could see the football game last night in sky sports. This is getting better and better...

(It's the 20th, not the 29th)

The below link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (new rates apply from 01/04/24 of £9.76 per day).

You are completely right, it is the 20th and not the 29th!

Will blame my fast and annoyed typing 😁. Thanks for the info!

@Santiago+Ibanez if its an area outage it is likely to have been caused by significant damage to the network as while you are a low priority domestic customer it is likely to also affect high priority users like medical centres.

Openreach will be working to repair what is wrong but in cases where there is significant damage such as a road vehicle taking out a cabinet, a digger ooperator damaging a main cable or thieves stealing copper cable, all of which are quite common issues, it can take a few days to get everyone connected again. What you wont get is an accurate estimate of a fix time as Sky simply wont know as the crew doing the work wont know themselves until its done.
