Sky boost has worse connection than before
I have the same issue as others on here - Purchased sky max thinking it would improve signal strenght but it hasnt. The internet constantly cuts out and struggles with connection. Paying more for a worse signal.
Called Sky and they asked if i had boosters - I thought this was the booster? Anyway they put me through to billing as i said I wanted to cancel - no point paying extra for something that doesnt work and no answer.
Please can someone advise
a) what is a booster and is it needed in addition to the Sky Max box?
b) how do i get one?
c) how do i cancel within the terms of Sky's guarantee - the guidance says call them but according to the recorded message, they are closed between 8.30am and 4.30pm

The Max Hub has separate booster 'pods'. Previous Hub models had their own separate booster units.
b) how do i get one?
By subscription to the appropriate broadband add-on and then calling Sky to claim under the relevant 'guarantee'.

Call when lines are open?
Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.
Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.
