Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Skystreamuser Yes it is for real. Routers that use the upper 5Ghz channels (52 and upwards) have to use DFS or Dynamic Frequency Selection, in order to avoid interference with Radar.
All Modern routers routinely switch channels all day and night as they scan for the least busy channels, the days of selecting one fixed channel and being done with it are a thing of history.
