Find out more@Jahd1234 Sky's minimum speed guarantee applies to the speed to your hub and on services over a copper phone line is set by the length and condition of your phone line. You can check that speed in the connection test in the My Sky app or by looking at your Sky hib's connection stats see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics
Speeds measured at the device are always around 8% slower as the network needs to use some data to route the packets. Also the speedtest records the slowest part of the transfer which commonly is the WiFi network in your home. Obviously if other devices are using data the test result can be lower.
There are various other things thst affect the speed sites load including how fast the DNS system looks up the IP address, how the data is routed and how long the server takes to respond. Therefore increasing the bandwidth does not always translate into faster browsing. There are things you can do for example things like VPNs introduce extra steps as do some private browsing features on operating systems like Apple's ios. Adding a public DNS like Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) to a device's network settings can help if Sky's DNS is lagging.
