Hello - we have a standard skyQ setup with the modem situated on the ground floor of a 4 story townhouse.
the problem we're having is getting internet on the top floor in our home office
unfortunately the house telephone master socket is situated on the ground floor only and is where the modem is currently located
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated??

Find out more@Jay4 wifi between floors is difficult however one solution is to buy a powerline adapter kit which uses your mains wiring assuming running an ethernet cable to the gop floor is impractical. These adapters work in most homes but speeds vary according to the condition and type of wiring. Plan to get 20 to 40% of the rated throughput and buy online so if they dont work they can go back.
You can buy kits with built-in wifi access points but in your situation using a Q mini or a Sky booster if you have one will extend the Sky network - you hook the adapter to the ethernet port. Always use wall sockets for the adapters rather than trailing sockets.
