Sky SR203 router crashing
Evening,
My SR203 router crashes at least twice a week, usually in the evening when it's being used for gaming by myself and my son - extremely irritating.
I assume it's a crash, as it reboots itself and is back online a few minutes later, but can't see any reason for it to do so. It's not overheating, certainly not at the moment, and it's far from stretched. On full fiber 150 so certainly not at any level of capacity!
Would ideally like to grab myself a decent 3rd party router but can't really afford it with Christmas on the way!

Re: Sky SR203 router crashing
@synaesthesiac If it's a crash and complete reboot, then when it happens do a http ://192.168.0.1 web manager to it, take the space out between the p and the : colon, page changes it to a https, so the way to get past the filter, in the log file if it all goes back in time then it's a complete loss and reboot, if it does not then the log will show you something different, also the stat's will indicate time against everything and the link below shows how to get to it! User name is admin just as you see it, and the password card or label form the back off the hub!
How to read your Sky Hub statistics

Re: Sky SR203 router crashing
Unfortunately not - it's a straight crash, full reboot - once it took all settings with it (ddns, firewall & separate SSID), other times it's usually just the reboot. Logs only go as far back as the crash and reports the date as 1970 until NTP picks up.
Have just tried blocking mDNS as another post suggests.

@synaesthesiac For sure 1970 full reboot and start, have seen it twice, and both times the PSU was plugged into a cheap 4 way multi block adapter, changed and put direct on the socket that fixed the issue!

Re: Sky SR203 router crashing
Hmmm, that might not be a bad shout - no cheap adapters/blocks but it is sharing a socket with some heavy loads. Didn't think of that! Will give it a go, cheers 🙂

Re: Sky SR203 router crashing
@synaesthesiac Yip, does not take much for the PSU to blip and the hub to do a full reset!
