I recently switched to Sky Gigafast after using Virgin, and while the connection and speed are great in some parts of the house, there are several dead zones. I initially tried using my old Powerline AV600 adapters, but the Wi-Fi speed was limited to around 70Mbps, compared to the 200Mbps I was getting with Virgin. To fix this, I removed the powerlines from my setup and bought a Sky SE210 booster from a well-known auction site.
The issue is that when I connect the SE210 using WPS, the SSID remains as “SKYSE210.” I’ve tried a hard reset (holding the reset button for 10 seconds until the power light changes from red to flashing green) and attempted the WPS setup again, but the SSID still broadcasts as “SKYSE210.” I also tried connecting it via Ethernet, hoping that might work, but even though it shows as connected, the SSID still doesn’t change. When I unplug the Ethernet cable, the connection light goes off as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

@Laing1 I have a white router, I believe it is the SR213.
@RamVagabond Im fairly certain that the SE210 boosters won't work with the white SR213 as they use different technology and you need the pods that do connect with the 213 but you can only get these if you subscribe to Sky Max and Sky will loan you the first pod if you need more then they will send an engineer out
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

As @Laing1 indicates, the SE210 is the previous generation to the Max Hub, and not compatible. Max has its own 'pod' boosters, which shouldn't be available anywhere but through Sky with a WiFi Max subscription add-on: strictly speaking you shouldn't have been able to purchase a 210 (designed to work with the 203/204 Sky Broadband Hub) either.
